People rely on and trust in their leaders, if they keep up the momentum in place. It is not about ‘actions taken’ and ‘results achieved’ criteria for the performance by a dynamic and strong team in today’s challenges, it is about how they are being heard by their leaders with their personal concerns and worries.
Specially, each team member is working in different conditions as being affected by challenging time now. As an organization or business leader, you need to create that level of connection and team, and you as being a leader have a responsibility to make sure that, that happens for team’s momentum. The most important thing is they are being listened by other team members.
So, below is the list as reflective questions for a leaders to consider:
- What you are doing to keep your team connected?
- How do you keep in regular contact with your team members?
- What do you focus on apart from the work in progress?
- How is it working for you? For them?
This helps you to know how they are going, to know what their concerns are, and what they need help with. As a leader, if you know that, then you can actually address it. Which is not always about being able to take action, but about being able to give them an ear. Someone who will listen to them, someone who is there for them and available to support them. And this is an effective role of you as being a leader to your team. It’s what you need to do every single day.
How you show up every day to your team is the demonstration of your leadership. This can create future in present moment and momentum is maintained as a team going and growing together. It is not about one on one support. It is about team support to individual, being initiated and nurtured by a leaders of an organization or business.
